Andhra Pradesh is transforming its capital city, Amaravati, into an international city. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu highlighted the need for a second phase of land acquisition for industries like petrochemicals, airport, and sports city. The cabinet meeting last Friday discussed the second phase of land pooling in 7 villages, granting CRDA permission for another 16,666 acres of land identification. The government aims to accumulate a total of 20 acres combining private and government land. The Ministerial group has examined the gram panchayats involved in land pooling for this purpose.
