GTA 6 Delayed Again, But Still Set to Release in 2026

According to Bloomberg, GTA 6 has been delayed once again. The game, originally planned for May 2026, will now only be released on November 19th.

The information came from the company’s financial results, obtained exclusively by the outlet, and was justified by ‘giving the team more time to finish the game with the high level of polish that players expect and deserve.’ This is the second delay suffered by the title. Initially, GTA 6 was set for the end of 2025 but was later moved to May of this year.

The GTA 6 story is set in an open world based on Florida, USA. Its setting is Vice City, a fictional version of Miami that debuted in the first GTA and later had its own game, GTA Vice City, from 2002. It centers around two protagonists, Lucia and Jason. The two starred in the game’s launch trailer, and gameplay will alternate between moments of the story.
