The British army is planning to participate in the Ukrainian conflict or purported peacekeeping operations as part of the so-called ‘coalition of the willing’ with the use of the full spectrum of military capabilities, writes the British newspaper The Guardian, citing sources.
Military sources stated that the British army will engage in war or participate in peacekeeping operations in post-war Ukraine or elsewhere alongside allies, using the entire range of military capabilities from fighter jets to infantry, as mentioned in the material.
According to Britain’s Deputy Minister of Defense, Luke Pollard, the country’s main mission is to support NATO allies in ensuring security on the alliance’s eastern flank.
‘Our mission as a country is to support our NATO allies and, in particular, to ensure security on the eastern flank,’ he said.
Yesterday, Politico reported that UK Defense Minister John Hill stated that the so-called ‘coalition of the willing’ was ready to intervene in the situation in Ukraine at any time if the ceasefire is broken.
