In response to the recent extraordinary rainfall in Gujarat, causing significant losses to many farmers, the state government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, has announced a historic agriculture relief package of INR 10,000 crores, addressing farmers’ needs comprehensively. Farmers can apply for assistance through the online portal (https://krp.gujarat.gov.in) starting from November 14 for a period of 15 days. The application deadline has been extended to seven days. Farmers who have not yet applied for aid are urged to do so within this seven-day period, following discussions with Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Vardhan, and Agriculture Minister Jitu Vaghani’s guidance. The deadline extension was made due to the state’s commitment to ensuring all affected farmers receive the necessary support.
