A low-pressure area has developed over the southern Arabian Sea. This system is causing heavy rainfall over the Indian Peninsula and the coastal areas of the Arabian Sea. Due to the atmospheric disturbance that moved northwards over the Indian Ocean and the adjacent regions yesterday (21-11-2025), a low-pressure area leading to heavy rainfall formed over the southern Arabian Sea regions this morning (22-11-2025). As a result, several areas in Tamil Nadu, including Puducherry and Karaikal, are likely to experience light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms from today onwards. Districts like Kanyakumari, Tirunelveli, Tuticorin, and others are expected to face heavy rainfall today.
