A medical helicopter, Vanderbilt LifeFlight, crashed in the American state of Tennessee. Three crew members were on board, reported the medical service at Vanderbilt University. The emergency service posted on Facebook that the incident occurred in Wilson County, Tennessee. ‘Vanderbilt University Medical Center confirms with deep sorrow that the Vanderbilt LifeFlight helicopter was involved in an accident this afternoon in Wilson County, Tennessee, with three crew members on board,’ the statement read.
The service noted that two people were injured as a result of the crash, both in critical condition, and doctors at Vanderbilt University Medical Center are fighting for their lives. Unfortunately, one person did not survive. It was also emphasized that there were no patients on board at the time of the incident. According to the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), the crash happened near the city of Lebanon. The causes of the crash are under investigation.
