On October 2nd, the Hong Kong stock market welcomed the first trading day of October with all three major indexes trending up. The Hang Seng Index broke through 27,000 points, closing up 1.61%; the Hang Seng Tech Index rose by 3.54% to 6682.86 points, hitting a new high since November 2021. Tech stocks, semiconductor sectors, and gold sectors led the rally, with SMIC surging 12.70%.
