The President of the Chamber of Deputies, Hugo Motta (Republicanos-PB), told Folha that he has broken with the PT leader in the Chamber, Lindbergh Farias (RJ). ‘I have no interest in having any kind of relationship with Congressman Lindbergh Farias,’ he stated. Tensions between the two politicians could accentuate the strains in the government’s relationship with the Chamber during a time of friction between the Planalto Palace and the Senate. According to two leaders close to Motta, their relationship will now be purely institutional.
