Hybrid Avatr models to enter the Russian market in 2026: What are these cars?

Changan, the company that owns the Avatr brand, has planned the launch of hybrid cars in Russia for the following year. Sun Jiejun, president of Changan Eurasia, informed ‘Izvestia’ about it. The Avatr 06 sports sedan and crossover 07 are the models in question. The Avatr 06 sedan, similar in size to the Toyota Camry, went on sale in China in the spring of this year and recently became available in Belarus. The car is equipped with a 314-horsepower electric motor installed on the rear axle. The hybrid powertrain includes a 1.5-liter 156 hp gasoline engine and a 31.7 kWh battery, providing a range of up to 170 km in electric mode as per CLTC cycle. In China, a version with a 45 kWh battery is also offered, as well as two options with a fully electric powertrain.
