Hyundai Santa Fe Plug-in Hybrid: More Power and Towing Capacity Upgrades Will Please Drivers

Hyundai has updated the powertrain of the Santa Fe Plug-in Hybrid, increasing its total power to 288 hp and 380 Nm. The previous figures were 252 hp and 367 Nm. The gasoline engine now delivers 180 hp instead of the previous 158 hp, while the electric range remains at 54 km. The main change is the increase in the maximum trailer weight, with the Santa Fe Plug-in Hybrid now able to tow up to 1,700 kg, an improvement of 690 kg. Although this figure is lower than the Santa Fe Hybrid’s 2,000 kg towing capacity, the updated version is more versatile among the best family cars in terms of operating capabilities.
