The Ibovespa rose 2.26% in October, marking another month – the third in a row – of gains. This was the eighth positive month of the year – only February and July were negative. The Ibovespa is already up 24.33% for the year. The benchmark index of the Brazilian stock market, the Ibovespa, advanced 0.52%, to 149,549 points, according to preliminary data. The last series of eight gains happened in August 2024. A longer sequence, only in July last year, with 11 rises. At the highest level of the day, the Ibovespa reached 149,635.9 points. At its lowest, it recorded 148,773.79 points.
