In the World Map, all countries starting with the letter “I” line up in a row

From Iceland to Indonesia, nine countries beginning with the letter “I” seem to form a neat line from northwest to southeast on the Mercator projection. The traditional Mercator projection was created in 1569 by the Flemish cartographer Gerardus Mercator.
