The Supreme Court of India, during a session on Thursday, underscored the significance of evaluating the ‘ground situation’ in Jammu and Kashmir prior to reinstating its statehood. The court emphasized that ‘incidents like Pahalgam’ could not be disregarded in this decision-making process. In addition to this, the apex court also requested a response from the Central government regarding this matter.
