Increased utility fee for foreign cars to be implemented in a month, December 1st – Ministry of Industry and Trade

The Ministry of Industry and Trade announced that the implementation date for new utility fee calculation rules for passenger cars will be postponed to December 1st. Previously set for November 1st, car buyers were given a one-month extension. Despite protests and negative feedback, the increase is not planned to be canceled. Earlier, The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia prepared changes to the utility fee calculation mechanism, introducing additional parameters for passenger cars. The base rate for calculating the disposal fee will be based on the type and engine volume, and the engine power affects the coefficient formation on a progressive scale.
