India and Canada Strengthen Ties Following Political Reset

Toronto: As the new high commissioners prepare to take up their posts in New Delhi and Ottawa later this month, there is a possibility of high-level engagements between India and Canada in the coming year. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi are likely to meet at the G20 leaders’ summit in Johannesburg, South Africa. This meeting could mark a significant step in rebuilding the ties between the two nations. Both countries are keen to strengthen their diplomatic relations after a recent political reset. The upcoming interactions are seen as a way to gradually enhance cooperation and foster a positive partnership.
