India and Indonesia Strengthen Defence Ties with High-Level Meeting in Delhi

India and Indonesia reaffirmed their strategic alignment on regional security during the third India–Indonesia Defence Ministers’ Dialogue in New Delhi. Rajnath Singh and Indonesian Defence Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin co-chaired the meeting, focusing on expanding military exchanges and joint responses to Indo-Pacific challenges. This dialogue follows President Subianto’s visit, showcasing the strengthening cooperation between the two nations. Both ministers highlighted the progress made in the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership through discussions between President Subianto and Prime Minister Modi. The potential BrahMos agreement between India and Indonesia was a key point of discussion, with Singh’s symbolic gesture of presenting a BrahMos replica indicating positive advancement.
