India No Longer the Cheapest Telecom Country in the World, Discover Who Earned This Title

India, once known as the country with the cheapest telecom services in the world, has now fallen behind in this ranking. According to a recent report by ICICI Securities, countries like Bangladesh and Egypt have now overtaken India in offering the most affordable telecom services. India’s telecom companies used to provide unlimited voice calling in their base plans, but now users in Bangladesh and Egypt receive only 100 and 70 minutes of calling, respectively. Despite India no longer being the cheapest based on price, the report highlights that in terms of service quality and value, India still remains ahead.
