Indonesia President Prabowo’s Approval Remains Steady at 78% Despite Challenges

JAKARTA – An independent survey revealed that Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto continues to maintain a solid public approval rating of 78%, a year after assuming office. This is despite facing a turbulent first year, marked by deadly student protests. The approval rating is only slightly lower than the 80.9% recorded in the previous poll conducted in January. Despite the challenges, Prabowo’s government has garnered praise for measures like eradicating corruption and providing social assistance programs. The survey, conducted from October 20 to 27 and involving 1,220 respondents, highlighted specific areas where Prabowo received high and low approval ratings. The public is most satisfied with him for his efforts to combat corruption.
