The Indonesia U-17 team secured a 2-1 victory against Honduras on matchday three of Group at the 2025 U-17 World Cup in Qatar. The young Garuda squad clinched the win thanks to a penalty goal from Evandra Florasta and a strike from Fadly Alberto.
The Indonesia vs Honduras match took place at Aspire Zone – Pitch 2, Doha, Qatar, on Monday night (10/11/2025) WIB. This win keeps Nova Arianto’s boys’ hopes alive of progressing to the next round from the third-best position.
The match started off fiercely in the opening 10 minutes. Despite Indonesia dominating the game, Evandra Florasta and his teammates struggled to create significant threats in Honduras’ penalty box.
Mierza Firjatullah attempted a shot from Honduras’ penalty area in the 25th minute, but his effort was thwarted by an opponent’s defender. Indonesia had a golden opportunity in the 28th minute when Evandra latched onto a cross from Zahaby Gholy, but Honduras’ goalkeeper, Noel Valladares, made a crucial save. Mierza then failed to capitalize on the rebound.
Gholy fired a shot from the edge of the penalty area in the 30th minute, but Noel managed to keep his goal safe by deflecting the ball. Mike Rajasa came up with a save in the 35th minute by catching a free-kick attempt from Honduras’ player, Darell Oliva.
No goals were scored in the first half, and both teams headed to the dressing room with a level score. The second half witnessed a total of three goals, with one from Honduras and two from Indonesia.
