Indonesian Government to Block Israeli Team’s Participation in Gymnastics World Cup

Indonesia will block the participation of six Israeli athletes in the upcoming gymnastics world championship, to be held in Jakarta from October 19 to 25, by denying them visas, as reported by local media citing authorities of the country. Minister of Justice Yusril Ihza Mahendra stated, ‘The Indonesian government will not grant visas to Israeli athletes.’ This decision has sparked controversy and raised concerns about discrimination in international sporting events.
