Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to arrive in Islamabad today for a two-day official visit, following an invitation from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. As reported by state-run Radio Pakistan, President Subianto will be joining a high-level delegation consisting of key ministers and senior officials. The Foreign Office (FO) had announced earlier that the visit will take place from December 8-9, during which discussions on a ‘wide-ranging agenda’ aimed at strengthening bilateral ties and exploring new avenues of cooperation will be held with Pakistani leaders. This visit marks President Subianto’s first official visit to Pakistan, following the last visit by former President Joko Widodo in 2018.
