Meta’s photo-sharing app, Instagram, is set to introduce Meta AI voice translations in five Indian languages, along with Indian fonts on Edits, for users in the country. The announcement was made during the ‘House of Instagram’ event in Mumbai, where Instagram revealed that users can now utilize Meta AI for translating reels in Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Marathi. This feature was initially available in English, Hindi, Spanish, and Portuguese. According to Instagram, creators can utilize Meta AI to enhance their reels, making them sound and appear natural in some of the most widely spoken languages globally, thus expanding their reach and attracting an international audience. This tool maintains the original sound and tone of the creator’s voice to ensure authenticity.
