International Ski and Snowboard Federation Extends Suspension of Russian Athletes

The International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) has extended the suspension of Russian athletes from competing in competitions, as reported by the Russian Ski Racing Federation. On Saturday, Norwegian channel NRK reported that FIS had sent a letter to national associations stating the extension of the ban due to the ongoing doping investigation. This decision comes in the wake of the Russian Anti-Doping Agency’s non-compliance with World Anti-Doping Agency regulations. The FIS decision applies to all Russian athletes across various disciplines such as cross-country skiing, ski jumping, and snowboarding.
