The investigations that form the police inquiry into Vanessa de Lima Figueiredo, a public servant arrested on Sunday (9/11) on suspicion of the disappearance of more than 200 weapons from the 1st Civil Police Station of Barreiro, in the Jardinópolis neighborhood, indicate that drugs and money also went missing from the police station. The woman was admitted to José Abranches Gonçalves Penitentiary in Ribeirão das Neves, in Greater Belo Horizonte, on Monday morning (10). The president of the Union of Civil Police Servants of Minas Gerais (Sindipol-MG), Wemerson Oliveira, indicates that the investigation into the ‘disappearance’ of weapons, drugs, and money that should have been under the custody of the police station is part of the confidential police investigation. ‘There is no doubt that this material returned to the hands of criminal groups, especially in that region of Cabana, commanded by the Third Pure Command (TCP),’ he commented. The police station is located on Solimões Street, on the border between the Jardinópolis and Cabana neighborhoods. ‘To arrive and take more than 200 weapons from inside a police station, it won’t end up in the hands of law-abiding citizens.’
