The IPCA stood at 0.09% in October, the lowest rate in 27 years. This represents a slowdown of 0.39 percentage points compared to September when prices rose by 0.48% with the increase in the electricity bill. The decrease in October was also below market expectations, which predicted an increase between 0.10% and 0.16% in prices. According to IBGE, the rate is the lowest for an October since 1998, when 0.02% was recorded.
