Iran to Build 8 New Nuclear Reactors with Russia’s Help: Not for Developing A-Bomb

Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization head, Mohammad Esmail, revealed that Iran plans to build 8 new nuclear reactors with Russia’s assistance. These reactors aim to generate clean energy sustainably for the long term. Tehran’s top official Masoud Pezeshkian emphasized our country follows peaceful nuclear programs, not for developing nuclear weapons. Iran’s news agency Tasnim reported that Iran and Russia have agreed to build 4 nuclear power plants in Bushehr region and another 4 along the Caspian Sea and the southern coast, without finalizing the plant locations. The announcement will be made by the government later.
