Incredible changes are taking place in the list of world cities. Tokyo, the current third place capital in the world, has now moved to the fourth spot. Jakarta has overtaken Dhaka for the second position. It’s noteworthy that Indonesia’s capital, Jakarta, is set to surpass Tokyo by 2050. Being one of the top 10 cities in Asia in terms of population is another aspect. Jakarta faces a risk of overcrowding, leading Indonesia to consider building a new capital city. With over a billion inhabitants across 33 cities, mega-cities have expanded significantly in Asia.

Is Delhi set to surpass Tokyo as the world’s largest city by 2050?
