The Hebrew newspaper Maariv revealed on Sunday that the Israeli government has given the green light to Controp Precision Technologies Ltd to set up a branch in the United Arab Emirates. This milestone has been hailed as a groundbreaking move in security and economic ties following the normalization agreements in 2020. Specializing in designing and manufacturing EO/IR systems for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions, Controp Precision Technologies Ltd serves defense, homeland security, and related sectors. The newly formed entity, Controp Emirates Ltd, will operate in Abu Dhabi’s free trade zone. Owned entirely by the Israeli parent company, it will be subject to strict security oversight from Israel’s Ministry of Defense.
