Israeli PM Netanyahu Orders Rafah Border Crossing Closure After Palestinian Embassy Announces Reopening

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has taken the decision to keep the Rafah border crossing between Gaza and Egypt closed ‘until further notice’. This move comes shortly after the Palestinian Embassy in Cairo revealed plans to reopen the crossing on October 20. The closure is linked to Hamas’ compliance with an agreement related to the release of Israeli hostages. In the midst of these developments, two coffins containing the remains of deceased Israeli hostages were transferred to the Red Cross.
