Sriharikota- The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) launched a communication satellite, GSAT-03, with a weight of over 4,000 kilograms, on Sunday evening at 5.26 pm from the Pulicat Centre. ISRO announced that this satellite, weighing almost 4,410 kilograms, is the heaviest satellite to be launched into Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit (GTO) from India. The GSAT-03 satellite, also known as GSAT-7A R, will bring revolutionary changes in real-time communication, surveillance, and strategic control, enhancing its power. It will be launched through the LVM-3-M5 rocket, named ‘Bahubali’, due to its impressive payload capacity.
