Jaishankar to Represent India at BRICS Virtual Summit on Monday

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has been chosen to represent India at the BRICS virtual summit scheduled for Monday. The summit, chaired by Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, aims to address the impact of the Trump administration’s tariffs on international trade. The BRICS grouping consists of Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, with a total of ten member countries. The virtual meeting will focus on discussions regarding trade disruptions caused by the economic policies implemented by the United States.
