Jalandhar Police Arrests Two Individuals Including Heroin and Drug Money

Jalandhar Police, under the special campaign launched by the Punjab government to end drug addiction, has achieved significant success. The team led by Police Commissioner Dhanpreet Kaur, along with DCP/INV Manpreet Singh Dhillon, ADCP/INV Jeewanat Puri, and ACP (D) Amrbeer Singh, successfully arrested two suspects and seized 80 grams of heroin and 2,05,000 drug money. The action took place under the supervision of Inspector Surinder Kumar of the CIA Staff Jalandhar.
Punjab Police informed that on December 4, a team from the CIA Staff conducted an operation and apprehended two individuals from Jalandhar following suspicion. The seized items included heroin and a large sum of drug money. The individuals arrested were Gurpreet Singh alias Sajan and Prabhjot alias Prabh.
The arrests led to the recovery of a total of 80 grams of heroin and 2.05 lakh rupees in drug money. The case has been registered under sections 21, 27-A, 61-85 of the NDPS Act at the Jalandhar Division number 8 police station.
Suspect Gurpreet Singh alias Sajan has previously faced charges under the NDPS Act at the Jalandhar Division number 8 police station. Investigations are ongoing, with the Jalandhar Police committed to maintaining a strict stance against drug trafficking in the future.
Both individuals were taken into custody and are being dealt with in accordance with the law. The Jalandhar Police continues its fight against drug crimes with further operations planned to curb drug trafficking effectively.
