At least 46 individuals, the majority of whom were pilgrims, lost their lives in flash floods along the Machail Mata Yatra route in Chasoti village, Kishtwar district, Jammu and Kashmir, on Thursday afternoon, as reported by PTI. Authorities mentioned that over 160 people have been rescued and are receiving medical treatment. The tragic incident occurred amidst the heavy rain that has been affecting the region. The cloudburst in Chosoti village has resulted in a minimum of 30 fatalities and several individuals reported missing.
