João Fonseca has withdrawn from the ATP 250 in Athens, which starts next Monday, and will no longer participate in official tournaments in 2025. The information was confirmed to UOL by the athlete’s team. Fonseca suffered from low back pain and, as a result, decided not to take part in the competition, thus concluding his season. He was eliminated from the Paris Masters 1000 by Russian Karen Khachanov in the second round with a score of 2-1. The Brazilian is currently ranked 28th in the ATP rankings, with live projections placing him at 24th. His new official position will be disclosed after the Paris Masters 1000.
