Spanish rider José Antonio Rueda, competing for Red Bull KTM Ajo, clinched the Moto3 World Championship today by triumphing at the Indonesian Grand Prix in Mandalika, in a race interrupted by a red flag. Rueda, who arrived in Mandalika with a 93-point advantage, watched his rival Ángel Piqueras (Frinsa) finish seventh, thus mathematically securing the title with four rounds still to go. Rueda fell to 13th place in the opening lap but managed to recover and steadily move up the ranks, eventually taking the lead.
