June Lockhart, from Lost in Space and Lassie, passes away at 100 years old

June Lockhart, the actress who rose to fame in the TV series ‘Lost in Space’ and ‘Lassie’, has passed away today at the age of 100.

‘Lost in Space’ was June’s favorite work, as she mentioned in an interview with Closer magazine in 2024. ‘It was so over the top. And I really enjoyed my relationship with my space family,’ she joked. Guy Williams, Mark Goddard, Marta Kristen, Bill Mumy, Angela Cartwright, and Jonathan Harris were also part of the cast.

In ‘Lassie’, the actress portrayed Ruth Martin. June Lockhart was part of the series from 1958 to 1964. The show followed the adventures of a Rough Collie dog, the protagonist ‘Lassie’.

June Lockhart was nominated for two Emmy Awards in the ‘Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series’ category for her role in ‘Lassie’. She also received two stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, one for her work in films and another for her television work.
