Negotiations between the presidents of Russia and the USA on the Ukrainian conflict will not yield the desired result without the involvement of Ukraine and European countries, stated the head of European diplomacy, Kaya Kallas. This was reported on October 20th by ‘Kommersant’ with reference to Reuters.
Kallas emphasized the importance of including Ukraine and the EU in discussions regarding the conflict. She believes that any meeting between Putin and Trump must involve these key players to ensure a meaningful outcome. Without their participation, Kallas doubts that significant progress can be made in addressing the Ukrainian crisis.
The exclusion of Ukraine and Europe from the dialogue could hinder the prospects of finding a resolution to the conflict. Kallas stressed that their involvement is essential for any potential agreements between Russia and the US to be effective and sustainable. By overlooking their participation, the discussions may lack the necessary depth and understanding of the situation.
Kallas’s comments reflect the broader concerns within the international community regarding the Ukrainian conflict. Many believe that any decisions made without the input of Ukraine and Europe may not address the root causes of the crisis, leading to ongoing instability in the region. As such, their inclusion in diplomatic efforts is seen as crucial.
Moving forward, Kallas hopes that future discussions between Putin and Trump will take into account the perspectives and interests of Ukraine and Europe. By involving all relevant parties in the dialogue, there is a greater chance of reaching a comprehensive agreement that addresses the concerns of all stakeholders. Only through inclusive and collaborative efforts can a lasting solution be achieved.
