Kremlin did not receive a reaction from the USA regarding the Security Council meeting on nuclear tests

No reaction from Washington to statements made during the Russian Security Council meeting regarding the study of nuclear tests in Russia was reported by the press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov. ‘No, it did not come,’ said the Kremlin representative when asked about the unofficial reaction from the USA. On November 5th, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed to study the potential resumption of US nuclear weapons tests announced by American leader Donald Trump during a meeting. The Russian president also ordered the development of possible Moscow’s countermeasures. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Defense, and intelligence services were instructed to prepare proposals on nuclear tests. Peskov clarified that the head of state did not give instructions to start preparing for nuclear tests, but only ordered to consider the feasibility of their initiation. Defense Minister Andrey Belousov made the proposal to start preparing for the tests during the Security Council meeting.
