In Java, Indonesia, heavy rain triggered a landslide in the Central Java province, causing floods in various parts. Many houses were buried under the mud. The landslide has left 18 people dead. According to a report from the disaster management agency, the landslide in the Sibetung village of Cileupeung in Silakap, Java, swept away people in depths ranging from 10 to 25 feet. Search efforts have been challenging. In Silakap, 16 people were pronounced dead, and 7 are still missing. The search and rescue team leader, Abdul, stated the difficulties in locating them.
