Last supermoon of the year enchants photographer in MS: ‘exciting’

The last supermoon of 2025 reached its peak on Thursday, leaving the Moon larger and brighter in the sky. The phenomenon occurs when the full Moon coincides with the moment when the satellite is closest to Earth, known as perigee. At this phase, the Moon can appear about 10% larger and brighter. This time, the natural satellite was approximately 27,300 kilometers closer to the planet. Some experts use the term ‘supermoon’ to refer to full or new moons that occur when the satellite is within 360,000 kilometers of Earth. Others adopt the expression when the full or new phase occurs near the moment of maximum approach.
