Lawyer murdered by client is mourned and buried in MG

The lawyer Marcelo Andrade Mendonça, killed after being stabbed by a client during a meeting in Viçosa (MG), in the Zona da Mata region of Minas Gerais, was mourned and buried on Saturday (11/15) in Carmo do Paranaíba (MG), the victim’s hometown, in the Alto Paranaíba region. The funeral took place at 3:30 pm at the local venue, in Praça São Francisco. The burial was held at 6 pm at the Municipal Cemetery. Relatives said their farewells, inviting friends to pay their last respects to the 43-year-old lawyer and singer. In a statement, the funeral home described Marcelo as: ‘A loving son, a dedicated husband and father, a ever-present brother. He overcame obstacles with strength, insight, and maturity. He became a true counselor.’ The text also highlighted Marcelo’s professional work, noting his dedication to law and passion for music, an activity he performed alongside his legal career. ‘May God receive him with infinite mercy and open arms,’ the note concluded.
