Despite having modern Volvo buses, North Bengal State Transport Corporation (NBSCTC) currently relies on hired drivers to operate these buses. In this situation, the NBSCTC is sending 20 private drivers to a training center in Bangalore to receive training. Volvo India has been in final discussions with the company for this. Chandkumar Boral, a coach from Bihar, will be part of the group receiving training in Bangalore next month. ‘If everything goes well, these drivers will receive training,’ said Deepankar Pipalai, Managing Director of NBSCTC.
