The coach received affection and praise from the club’s president, Leila Pereira. The leader made a point of entering the press conference room at Allianz Parque after the 4-0 victory, which secured their spot in the final against Flamengo, and praised the Portuguese as the “great coach” in the club’s history.
‘He said, Leila, today will be a historic, magical night. He is the greatest coach in Palmeiras history,’ she said.
