Machhiwara Sahib (Ludhiana): The Block Samiti and Zila Parishad elections in Punjab are underway, with all political parties actively preparing. Deputy Commissioner Ludhiana has distributed 136 villages of Machhiwara Block into 16 zones, including 6 reserved for general candidates, 6 for women, and 4 for SC category. The released list includes candidates for Manewal, Jatival, Gehilewal, Sherpur Bet, Bahilolpura, and Bharthala for the general category. Chakli Adal, Hiyatpur, Machhiwara Kham, Ratipur, Kakrala Dhaa, and Hedon Dhaa have candidates for the women category.
