Former President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) stated on Thursday (14) that Donald Trump, President of the United States, ‘made an insanity with Brazil’ by imposing tariffs and sanctions on the country. ‘Trump made an insanity with Brazil because we have been American partners for 201 years, this is not new, it’s a 201-year diplomatic relationship,’ said Lula during the inauguration ceremony of the hemoderivatives factory of the Brazilian Company of Hemoderivatives and Biotechnology (Hemobrás) in Goiana (PE). On Wednesday (13), Lula announced a contingency plan to assist sectors most affected by the 50% tariff imposed by the US.
