Evgeni Malkin made a goal assist in the game against Minnesota, setting an incredible record that Alexander Ovechkin almost reached last year. Kirill Kaprizov, the leader of the Wild, responded with a goal to Malkin’s assist. However, Kaprizov’s team continued to plummet in the standings, despite his efforts. Pittsburgh surprised everyone by defeating Minnesota. The Wild has been struggling in the current season, winning only three of their first 11 games. In contrast, Pittsburgh is performing exceptionally well, fighting for the top spot in the Eastern Conference.
