Live Science reports that a 52-year-old American man who enjoyed undercooked bacon developed brain parasites. The man complained to doctors about severe headaches and a strange tingling sensation in his right arm. Further examination revealed that he had cysts in his brain, which were later confirmed to be the result of a tapeworm infection. The tapeworm was likely contracted by consuming undercooked pork, a common way for the parasite to enter the human body. It had led to the development of cysticercosis, a parasitic disease that affects the brain.
