Toronto police are currently seeking a man accused of abducting his son and taking him to Ethiopia without the mother’s consent. Modupe Owaseye, 34, reportedly traveled to Ethiopia with his two-year-old son, Emmanuel, on Thursday. Owaseye allegedly left Canada without the mother’s approval. Described as five-foot-seven, 150 pounds, with short brown hair and a clean-shaven face, Owaseye was last seen wearing a grey sweater and black pants. Emmanuel, a two-feet-tall boy, was last seen wearing a black hat, green sweater with white teddy bears, beige pants, and black running shoes. Owaseye is wanted for the abduction of a person under 16. Toronto police stated, “We are actively taking all the necessary investigative steps to locate both the victim and suspect.” If anyone has information, they are urged to contact police at 416-808-2300, or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
