For Muslim communities, knowing the schedule of Islamic festivals well in advance is essential. Many need to know the dates to plan their worship, schedule time off work, prepare for homecoming trips, and organize religious activities within their families and communities. On October 14, 2025, the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag) through the Directorate General of Islamic Community Guidance (Bimas Islam) released the Indonesian Hijri calendar for 2026. This calendar includes dates from January to December 2026, as well as dates from Rajab 1447 Hijri to Jumadilakhir 1448 Hijriah.
