A massive fire has broken out at a warehouse in Lapa, West zone of São Paulo, on Thursday morning (11). According to the Fire Department, there are no injuries reported. The fire started around 11:40 am. The thick black smoke can be seen from various points in the region, including Marginal Tietê – one of the main expressways in the city. According to the Fire Department, 16 fire trucks and 43 firefighters are involved in fighting the flames. The warehouse is approximately 1,700 square meters, made of wood – a highly flammable material. There is no information yet on what may have caused the fire. A forensic investigation will be conducted at the site after the Fire Department’s operation.
